Our Float kit contains all the necessary parts to power a Float trailer or Drop deck. Primarily a float kit has to power hydraulic ramps, hydraulic landing leg and or hydraulic winch, with the valving being on the trailer. The prime mover has a supply and return line with line pressure set to 2000psi and max flow @ 60 litres per minute.

An electric PTO switch activates the PTO to commence powering the trailer, a safety relief valve protects the pump in case the hydraulic lines are accidently disconnected.

Melbourne Hydraulics has extensive knowledge with all major car carrier brands including Pacific, Topstart& Smith. Car carriers require little flow and little oil volume in order to operate due to the cylinders on the trailer holding oil in reserve.

Melbourne Hydraulics utilises live swivel couplings in front of the turntable to allow the hydraulic hoses to follow the trailer without kinking or getting tangled. An Octose swivel arm can also be fitted keeping all the hydraulic and trailer service lines together and away from being caught when the trailer articulates.
